Ministering: Pastor E. A. Adeboye
Topic: Benefits of Calvary
Text: Galatians 3:13-14
1.Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law because he hung on the tree for us
2.He obtained the blessings of Abraham for us

The mighty forces operating on earth are always in twos;
*Light and darkness
*Life and death
*Blessings and curses
*Good and evil
Deuteronomy 30:19

What is a curse?
Is an unseen force that hinders progress, that causes effort to fail with the sole aim of the destruction of the victim. Deuteronomy 28:15-end
For example:
*Joshua pronounced a curse on Jericho Joshua 6:20-end, the result is in 2 Kings 2:19
*The curse by Laban Genesis 31:26-35 , The result Genesis 35:16-20

*When a curse is broken, there could be dramatic change for the better. 2 Kings 2:19-22

Decree:
On the authority of the Most High God, I am also speaking on all my children; any curse flowing in your family line will end today. Amen
*A curse is like a river, it flows
Genesis 49:1-7, Exodus 32:15-26

Numbers 3:5-13

Decree:
If there is a curse operating in your life that has been making it difficult for you to stay strong in the Lord, I declare that curse broken now!Amen

What is a blessing?

A blessing is a summon to all forces in heaven, on earth and  underneath the earth to gang up and support somebody so that that fellow will succeed Genesis 27:22-29

The power of a blessing is tremendous:
1. It leads to rapid promotion:
When a man is cursed, he will be working like an elephant and eating like a rat, but when a man is blessed, even if he works like a rat he will be eating like an elephant Genesis 48:8-20
Deuteronomy 33:17

2.When you're blessed, no human being can curse you Number 23:8
If the fellow cursing you has no delegated authority of God to curse, then he's wasting his time but if he has:
*Husband can curse wife e.g. Jacob & his wife
*Father can curse the child
*Pastor can curse if you have done something deserving of a curse but you can go to a higher authority to get it removed for example Elisha vs
*If God curses you, who are you going to appeal to.

If God blesses you, if your enemy wants to curse you, instead of a curse, blessings will be coming out Numbers 23:9-12

Jesus did not only destroy the curse at Calvary, he obtained for us, Abraham's blessings.

We love the blessings of Abraham but we don't love the responsibility that goes with it.

The blessings of Abraham Genesis 12:1-3:
1.You will become a great nation Deuteronomy 1:11
No matter how great you are now, you can become a thousand times greater.
Genesis 46:26-27, Exodus 12:37

2.God said to Abraham, not only will I make you a great nation, I will bless you Proverbs 10:22, Genesis 24:34-35

3.God said to Abraham, I will make your name great. If you're a true Christian, you're named after Christ Acts 11:26, Philippians 2:9-11
There are names that open doors.

4.God said to Abraham, you shall be a blessing. Every Christian has been given authority from heaven to be a blessing Matthew 18:18, Mark 9:49

5.God said I will curse them that curse thee Galatians 6:7-8 Those who wish you evil are already in trouble.

6.God said in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed Matthew 28:18-20

Why did Jesus go to the cross? John 10:18
*Love John 15:13. The love is so great.

What does he expect from you as a response to that kind of love? John 15:9-14

*What is your response? Obedience. If you have to change your ways, change it.

Altar Call.

Who’s Who in Hell by Kenneth E. Hagin

Everyone will face  eternity one day. The righteous enter “life eternal” Matt. 25:46 , and the unrighteous are cast into hell or the lake of fire Rev. 20:15 . The lake of fire is the final dwelling place for those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life  Rev. 20:15 . We should thank God for the revelation His Word gives us concerning Heaven. If we are in Christ, we are Heaven-bound!  We should also thank God for what scripture says about hell . Those who haven’t made Jesus their Lord are not  Heaven-bound. Christians need to reach these people with the Gospel. We must let them know there is a Heaven to gain and a hell to shun. Who’s Who There once were books that listed people who achieved a degree of prominence in the arts and sciences, in business, and in various professions. Sometimes it’s interesting to know “who’s who” in life. The Bible also gives us a “who’s who” in hell, so to speak. Revelation 21:8 (NKJV) 8. But t...

Proverbs 14:12 READ: John 5:2-14 5:2 Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches. 5:3 In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. 5:5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 5:6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 5:7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: b...
