SPECIAL DIVINE ENCOUNTER - DAY 3 {18/02/2017}
Opening Prayer:
Father, Please, as programme is coming to an end today make my testimonies complete In The Name of Jesus. Amen!
Text: Joshua 1:1-8
Joshua 1:1 Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that The LORD spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,
1:2 Moses My Servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
1:3 Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses.
1:4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
1:5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
1:6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.
1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest.
1:8 This Book of The Law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
In the passage we read above several things happened to Joshua in one day but we will limited ourselves to:
Five Important things
1. He heard the voice of God for the first time. Genesis 1:3, Mark 2:1-12, 5:35-42, John 11:39-44
Prayer:
Father, this very day speak to me, I want to hear a word from You. Speak to my situation, speak into my life
2. What did God say to him (Joshua)
*Am about to change your destiny
*About to make you a Leader
*About to make you a President of a Nation. Psalm 115:3, Genesis 15:1-5, Mathew 3:9, Genesis 17:15-16, 1 Kings 17:8- end, 4:8-37
Prayer:
Father if there is anything evil in my destiny change today, any evil waiting for me in the future change it today. Change my destiny for the better today In The Name of Jesus. Amen!
3. The next thing God said to him is that where Moses failed, you will not fail. Phillipians 4:13, Mark 11:23. When God speaks to failure it becomes instant Success* - Luke 5:17, John 5:2-9
Prayer:
Father please hear my cry don't let me know failure again for the rest of my life In The Name of Jesus. Amen!
4. God said to him - Joshua you will never suffer defeat. When the enemies comes by land, the ground can open up and swallow them Numbers 16:26-34. When the enemies comes through the Sea, the sea will drown them - Exodus 14:21-28. When the enemies comes through the air, God will blow them - Joshua 10:10-11. He can cause the enemies to kill themselves - 2 Chronicles 20:20-25
Prayer:
Father fight my battles for me. Don't let me ever be defeated again In The Name of Jesus. Amen!
5. God make then made The Biggest Promise to him - HE SAID " I WILL BE WITH YOU!"
Exodus 3:11-12, 1 Samuel 17:34-end, Psalm 23:4
Prayer:
Father please be with me so that my own case will be different. For the rest of my life be with me In The Name of Jesus. Amen!
What God requires:
1. Be Strong
2. Be addicted to The Word of God
3. Be doer of The word of God
